ATRIUS FRT TRIGGER JIG (ELIMINATES BINDING)
Atrius FRT trigger jig designed to eliminate binding and correct improper trigger geometry, improving reliability, reset consistency, and overall performance.
This is a direct solution to one of the most common Atrius FRT issues.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Trigger modification jig designed to eliminate binding issues commonly found in the Atrius “drop-in” FRT Super Selektor system.
This jig allows you to properly remove material from the rear of a mil-spec trigger to prevent contact and binding against the safety cam — a known issue that can cause malfunctions, poor performance, and premature component failure.
COMMON ATRIUS FRT PROBLEMS
Many Atrius “drop-in” FRT systems suffer from known issues caused by improper trigger geometry.
Common problems include:
- Binding between the trigger and safety cam
- Inconsistent or failed trigger reset
- Poor overall performance compared to other FRT systems
- Premature wear or breakage of internal components
These issues are not caused by user error — they are the result of how the system was originally designed.

WHY THIS HAPPENS
The Atrius FRT system can bind because the rear of the trigger interferes with the safety cam during operation.
This creates:
- Resistance during cycling
- Increased stress on components
- Inconsistent reset behavior
Without correcting this geometry, the system will not function reliably.
THE SOLUTION
This trigger jig is designed to correct that issue by allowing controlled material removal from the rear of the trigger.
By removing this interference:
- Binding is eliminated
- Reset becomes smoother and more consistent
- Overall system reliability improves
This is a direct fix for one of the most common Atrius FRT problems.
WHAT THIS JIG DOES (FIXES COMMON ATRIUS FRT ISSUES)
- Removes trigger interference with the safety cam
- Eliminates binding during operation
- Improves reset consistency and function
- Helps reduce stress on internal components

INSTRUCTIONS
This jig is used to remove material from the rear shelf of a mil-spec trigger.
Recommended tools:
- Dremel with stone tip
- Fine metal file
Guidelines:
- Take your time — slow and controlled removal is key
- Keep the surface flat and even
- Brace your finger on the opposite side if needed for stability
- The trigger should fit snug in the jig (tolerances may vary slightly)
The jig allows removal of slightly more material than typically required — this will not negatively affect function.
⚠️ Do NOT grind past the bottom shelf (marked in product images)
Stop grinding once the surface transitions from flat to angled.
FUNCTION CHECK
- Switch to Super Safe position
- Depress the hammer with your finger (ensure selector is upright)
- Attempt to rotate the selector
- If resistance is present → continue grinding
- If it rotates freely → binding is eliminated
If it moves without resistance, congratulations — your lever is still not safe from snapping itself in half, because the BCG can break it too lol.
But hey, maybe it will last a bit longer now before you fully regret your purchase.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- This jig is specifically for Atrius FRT Super Selektor systems
- Not intended for use with standard mil-spec safeties
⚠️ Using a modified trigger with a standard safety may result in unsafe conditions, including multiple firing positions.
